Beijing

Once we made it into China, we loved it! China is obviously a HUGE country, and we will need to go back to get a feel for the rest of the country, but Beijing was a great starting place! When we walked into our hotel, it was a little after midnight. We promptly checked in, walked through the indoor garden towards our room, and upon entering, flipped on the television while we began to strip the day away. Essentially, the TV was just background noise, but the news was on and t

Tangier

It is easy to become consumed in the addiction of travel. I LIVE for that fresh stamp smell in my passport, but that isn't the point in traveling, is it? If you don't have the time to go off the beaten path, hang where the locals hang, absorb the soul of a country, then why travel at all? This is especially relevant in today's Insta-famous world. XXX Amsterdam XXX

Every time I tell an American that I'm going to Amsterdam, I get the same reaction. You can see on their face that they are trying to figure out why a nice girl like me would go to a naughty place like Amsterdam. It's in Spain. It's actually in the Costa del Sol region, (which translates to Coast of the Sun) and it sits on the south of Spain against the aquamarine Mediterranean with an average of 320 days of sunshine annually. It's freaking beautiful. But we weren't stopping at the beach.

Genoa

Genoa/Genova , both are acceptable pronunciations, but try not to say Genovia, which is the country from Princess Diaries. A mistake that I only made once... TWICE, okay? I'm going to be honest, I did not have any desire to go to Genoa. I knew that we would meet our friends (Michael & Geppe) in Paris and that the four of us would go somewhere from there, but this trip was made more because when I searched flights, it was cheap, than "it's a destination that I've always wanted
